Another home decor project! Diane's tea light candle holder is gorgeous!
Diane's Tips: At a time of year when most people are extra busy with the festivities of the season, I like to slow down and spend time at home with my family. We hang out together in the family room enjoying a movie or fun activity together surrounded by the warm glow of Christmas lights and candles. For my project, I wanted to create a home decor piece that I could enjoy while at home. I decided to make a tea light candle holder by covering a recycled glass jar with tissue paper using Mod Podge. After the tissue paper dried, I embellished the jar using card Sketch #108 as my guide, omitting the paper along the bottom so it wouldn't block the glow of the candle. I also created a couple smaller coordinating tea light holders. I covered one jar with red tissue paper and the other with a page from an old dictionary. To finish them off, I tied a piece of tinsel trim around the top of the jars.
SOURCES Tissue paper: Pink Paislee (green), Patterned Paper: October Afternoon, Chipboard: Girl's Paperie (snowflake), Letter Stickers: American Crafts, Trim: Webster Pages, Pinked Filter: Fancy Pants, Ink: Prima
