Sketches Revisited: Sketch 21

"Sketches Revisited" is about bringing back some of our past sketches.  The Got Sketch? team will be doing this periodically to show you a fresh approach to some old sketch favorites.

I chose sketch #21 based on the pictures I had.  I originally had 3 vertical pictures so I skimmed through the gotsketch sketches looking for a sketch that included 2 or 3 vertical pictures.  When I saw sketch #21 I knew it would be perfect.  I also liked how the sketch included embellishments in the top left corner of the 1st picture.  I wanted to highlight how much my son enjoys being outside so I knew the top left corner would be a perfect place to include clouds.  I continued highlighting the outdoor theme by including the branch with birds, adding a bird to my journaling square (see close up #2 and #3), and creating a leaf border.  I chose to place the branches on the right hand side of my layout, instead of the middle of both pictures, to balance out the clouds.  Therefore, I moved my journaling to the bottom center of my layout and added a bird for dimension.  I finished my layout with my title and added the ribbon leaf border for added interest! (see close up #1).
